Finally got around to opening up a Facebook account. Believe it or not, I've never had one.
Actually tried Facebook for 2 days back in 2008 but to me, it was very similar to Myspace (had one for 5 years before I had enough and decided to delete it), but I understand it's part of our Speech assignments. If it wasn't for that, I probably wouldn't have one. I've had friends and family bugging me to open one but always told them, "Nah, I'm good." By all means, I'm not antisocial. I happen to be a very friendly person and pretty much get along with everyone I come across. I'm just not a fan of complicated social networks, in my opinion, Facebook seems complicated. Lol.
Also, I don't like spending too much time in front of the computer (I do that enough with my school work) and from what I've been told, Facebook is addicting. May have to invest in a very cushiony, comfortable computer chair. Who knows, maybe once I get into the swing of things, I just might end up keeping the account open long term.
Don't bet on it though. Ha!

Haha, yes Ana, Facebook is VERY addicting!!!! I literally have to close out of my facebook when I am working on my homework, and when I take a break from that, I have to get back onto facebook! It is a very very bad habit. I do have to say, though, that it is a very good way to keep up with my friends and family, especially when I live 4+ hours away from my parents. Well, I hope that you dont get too addicted to FB, but I do hope that you might learn to like it and keep it around for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI was the same way I didn't want to get one either but I eventually just got one and know I'm ADDICTED! I'm the same like Megan I will be on facebook when I should be doing homework and then as soon as I'm done I'm on facebook again. Lol soo Good Luck hope you don't get addicted like us!
ReplyDeleteHaha sometimes Facebook gets intense! My sister is addicted to it! She's only 13! lol. It's insane! It's a good thing I have a busy school and work life if not I'd go crazy over it...anyways FACEBOOK is interesting but at the same time a complicated version of communication. lol.

Hey Ana, you are a step ahead of me girl. I still need to get my facebook set up. What I REALLY NEED to do is get going on the powerpoints LOL I'm thinking with this weather being what it is now is a perfect time to work on that. Stay warm!

ReplyDeleteI barely opened up a facebook as well. Everyone always wanted me to create an account but i would say no because I didnt want everyone knowing my business. Anyhoo like you said its for our speech class so i guess we should enjoy it. Have a great semester!

ReplyDeleteFacebook is very addicting...I spend all day in front of a computer at work so sometimes when I want a break I log on and see what my friends are up to. It's kinda of an escape for me at times.
